1.
Tendency
to produce debility ± weakness and prostration
Lac-c.:
great weakness and lassitude, sinking spells every morning.
Lac-ac.:
great debility and weariness, with chilliness of extremities. Trembling of
whole body while walking.
Lac-d.: feels completely tired and exhausted.
Great fatigue when walking. Disinclined to work. < slightest exertion
Lac-v.: nervousness with depression of
spirits. Mental prostration comes suddenly
Lac-f.: entire right side from crown to sole
felt terribly weak, heavy and distressed, so that it was difficult to walk.
Sacc-l.:
great physical exhaustion, caused by overwork. Prostration from mental
excitement.
2.
Action
on mammary glands
Milk
remedies regulates the
secreation of milk, hence useful in galactorrhoea or increase the secreation of
milk, therefore used as a galactogogue. Also helps to dry up milk in nursing
women during the
weaning period. Useful in inflammatory condition of mammary gland ± mastitis.
Lac-c.:
inflammation of breast more marked before menses, < least jar and motion.
Galactorrhoea without known cause. Helps to dry up milk in nursing women.
Axillary gland will swell and change
sides.
Lac-d.:
increases the secretion of milk in young mothers with deficient milk secretion.
Lac-ac.:
pain in breast with enlargement of axillary glands and pain extends to hand.
3.
Tendency
to produce throat affections
Sore throat, pharyngitis, tonsillitis,
diphtheria, lump sensation in throat ± globus hystericus.
Lac-ac.: fullness and lump like a puff ball.
Constant swallowing.
Lac-c.: Tonsillites and diphtheria ± symptoms
change repeatedly from side to side. Shining glacedappearance of deposit,
pearly white or like pure white porcelain.
Stiffness
ofneck and tongue. Throat feels
burned raw, sensitive to touch. Sore throat beginning and ending with menses.
Lac-d.:
“As if a lump” in throat. “As if a large ball rising” from stomach to throat
causing sense of suffocation.
Lac-v.:
Sensation of plug in throat or larynx.
Lac-f.: Posterior wall of pharynx inflamed
with sensation of soreness. Stringy tough mucus in the pharynx, cannot hawk it
up and have to swallow it.
Lac-v-f.:
Diphtheria - Dry throat and extreme difficulty of swallowing.
Sacc-l.: “As if a fish-bone” in throat when
swallowing. Spasmodic stricture inoesophagus. Globus hystericus after lunch at
noon, with dull, sick headache.
4. Rheumatic affections of joints
Lac-c.: Rheumatic pains in extremities and
back from one side to the other. Right sided siatica, < rest, on first
moving, spine aches from base of brain to coccyx, very sensitive to touch or
pressure. > HEAT applied.
Lac-ac.: rheumatic pain with diabetes.
Rheumatic pain in joints and shoulders, wrists, knees with much weakness.
Trembling of whole body while walking. Limbs feel chilly.
Lac-v.: rheumatic pain in knees and tarsal
bones when walking. Sacral pain. Piercing or lancinatingpain in each hip joint
± not severe. Aching pain in both knees like rheumatic pain.
Aching pain along both thighs on outer side and terminating in both
knees.
Lac-d.: numbness and loss of sensation over
outer and anterior surface of thighs. Pains passing down under side of thighs
to heels and pains across top of feet as if bones were broken across instep.
Pains would come on as soon as she stepped upon the floor in morning, upon
which she would be faint and nauseated and would have to lie down.
Lac-f.:
pain in r: side of l: wrist when using index finger. Left foot feels cold when
touched by right foot. Legs ache.
5.
For disorders of pregnancy: Morning sickness with nausea and vomiting.
Lac-c.: nausea, morning sickness (pale
anaemic women) who loss much blood at each menstrual period with this nausea is
associated, a constant waterbrash with
salivation.
The saliva Brought up feels hot and is exceedingly sour and corrosive.
Waterbrash is > breakfast.
Lac-v-c.: nausea of pregnancy with
desire for food and > drinking milk.
Lac-d.: deathly nausea, vomiting of pregnancy
± incessant, first of undigested food, intensely acid, then of bitter water.
Lac-c.: Sinking spells every morning. Sinking
at epigastrium. Faintness in stomach.
6. Generally < at morning
and < by motion.
Lac-c.: has morning, sinking spells. Right
sided sciatica < rest, first motion.
Lac-d.: headache, from motion and morning on
rising. car sickness < by motion
Lac-ac.: nausea < morning. Trembling of
whole body while walking.
Sacc-l.:
pains generally < at morning.
Lac-v.:
rheumatic pains < walking.
7. Increased salivation.
Lac-ac.:
copious salivation and water brash. Saliva brought up feels hot and is
exceedingly sour and corrosive so much that it leaves an acute burning all
along the
passages.
Lac-c.: profuse salivation drooping in
diphtheria.
Lac-f.: salivation increased and tongue
enlarged and serrated at edges by teeth. “As if tongue were scalded” by a hot
drink.
Lac-v.: salivation increased and sour taste.
Acid saliva, staining hand -kerchief yellow.
8.
Voracious hunger
Lac-c.: very hungry, cannot eat enough to
satisfy, as hungry after eating as before.
Lac-ac.: increased hunger associated with
diabetes.
Sacc-l.: when first getting out of bed feels
faint for something to eat. After eating, feeling of distension.
9.
Restlessness and Nervousness.
Lac-c.:
nervous, restless, highly sensitive organisms.
Lac-ac.: trembling of whole body while
walking.
Lac-f.: constant nervous trembling especially
of hands.
Lac-v.: general nervousness with depression
of spirits.
10. Headache and left sided neuralgia.
Lac-d.: shifting migraine, periodical sick
headache. < during menses. pains are periodical in nature and associated
with nausea and vomiting.
Lac-v.: head feels too large and heavy. A
creeping sensation over left eyes and behind left ear, continues upwards
vertex.
Lac-f.: terrible headache and it penetrates
the left eyeball into the centre of brain.
Sacc-l.: lancinating neuralgic pains in
forehead, in occiput.
11. Sinking feeling on epigastrium
Lac-c.: sinking feeling of epigastrium and
faintness in stomach.
Lac-f.: heat in epigastrium. Great soreness
and sensitiveness of epigastric region. Pain in bowels. At midnight sensation
of cold bandage over lower part.
12.
Diabetic mellitus.
Lac-v.: thirst for cold water in large
quantity. Drank 3 tumbler fulls. Increased urination.
Lac-f.: frequent desire to urinate. Urine
very pale.
Lac-c.: constant desire to urinate, passing
large quantity frequently. At night she dreams of urinating.
Lac-ac.: Frequent desire to urinate large
quantities. Urinates frequently day and night; the attempt toretain it causes
pain.
Lac-d.: Great thirst for large quantities and
often; intense thirst. Frequent and profuse urination of very pale urine.
13.
Constipation
Lac-d.: American sick headache with obstinate
constipation. Constipation with ineffectual urging. Feaces dry and hard. Stool
is dry, hard; great straining, lacerating
anus.
Lac-v.: obstinate constipation
Lac-f.: natural stool but very slow in
passing at 2 h. stool long tenacious, slipping back whenceasing to strain,
seeming inability of rectum to expel its contents.
Lac-c.: frequent desire for stool. When
having a soft passage, great tenusmus; rectum does not act “As if had lost its
power”/”As if it could not expel faeces because
This
is soft and adhere to the parts like clay ±
constipation. Great constipation before and after menses. Urgent desire for
stool, but passes nothing but wind or
possibly
1 or 2 small pieces like sheep-dung
Lac-ac.:
very costive, stool once a week, hard black. Aching pain in anus.
Sacc-l.: urgent inclination to stool, felt as
though there were a great ball in the rectum, muchstraining and some
flatulence, but no stool, but no > from stool.
14.
Menstrual irregularity
Lac-c.:
menses too early, too profuse, flow in gushes, bright red, viscid and stringy.
Lac-d.: irregular menses, sometimes very dark
and scanty; sometimes colourless water. Slight yellowish leucorrhoea.
Lac-f.:
leucorrhoea ceased on 3rd and reappear on 4th day.
Lac-v-f.: irregular menses, associated with
chilliness, cramps and vomiting.
15.
Anaemia
Colos.:
Pale face. Loss of appetite. Emaciation.
Lac-v.:
salivation increased and sour taste. Acid saliva, staining hand -kerchief
yellow.
Koumiss
– anaemia [made by fermenting raw unpasteurized mare's milk over the course of
hours or days, often while stirring or churning. (physical agitation
similar
to making butter). During the fermentation,
Lactobacilli bacteria acidify the
milk, and yeasts turn it into a carbonated and mildly alcoholic drink.
Recipee: Heat 4 cups milk; cool; when lukewarm, add ¼ yeast cake
dissolved in ¼ cup lukewarm water, and 2 tablespoons sugar. Pour into bottles
with patent stoppers, fill 2/3 full, cork tightly. Shake; let stand in kitchen
6 hours, then on ice for 24 hours; serve ice cold.
Lac-ac.:
Vertigo: when turning head suddenly; with heat, on rising; on stooping; at
night. Roaring in left ear on rising in afternoon.
Lac-d.:
Throbbing frontal headache (over eyes), nausea, vomiting and obstinate
constipation (in anaemic women). Deathly paleness of face. Head heavy, falling
to
right
side. Milk intolerance
Lac-ac.:
milk remains undigested and causes nausea and vomiting. Burning sensation and
sense of weight.
Lac-c.: Craves milk and drinks much of it.
Frequent desire for stool. Profuse diarrhoea, with colic pain;diarrhoea watery,
profuse, coming out with great force.
Lac-v.: intolerance of milk
Lac-v-c.:
nausea > by drinking milk.
Lac-v-f.: Tendency to flatulence in lower
intestines.
Colos.: Diarrhoea in infants. Whole body
smells sour. Colic.

Periodicity.
Lac-c.: complaints worse on oneday and
evening on next day. Sharp pain on temples on 19 h.
Lac-d.: periodical sick headache (during
menses)
INDIVIDUAL +/o. RARE LACS
1.
Lac
Felinum (Lac-f.): Ciliary
neuralgia and headache - Terrible headache penetrating the left eyeball to
centre of brain, with painin left supra orbital region ext. through brain to r.
vertex. Dysmenorrhoea.
2.
Lac
Coagulatum = Lac-v-c.
Nausea of pregnancy (with desirefor food/> by drinking milk).
3. Lac-v.: Vertigo: falls backwards if she
closes her eyes. A creeping sensation or screw like or vertical motion, began
over left eye, and continued upwards to vertex.
In morning with aching pain all over head, most severe in occiput.
Aching pains in both knees like a rheumatic pain; they began simultaneously in
both knees, but the right was most severe.
On going upstairs the knees trembled or quivered or were extremely weak, so as
to be unable to take a step forwards.
4. Lac-ac.: Sensation of a plug in the throat.
Fullness in throat which keeps him swallowing frothy mucus; lump or fullness
feels like a small puff ball; not > swallowing.
Sense
of constriction low down in throat; rough and dry. Voracious appetite and great thirst.
Eructation of hot, acrid fluid, which burns from stomach to throat. Eructations
of burning, hot gas from
stomach, causing a profuse secretion of tenacious mucus, which must be
constantly hawked up; < smoking tobacco. Frequent desire to urinate large
quantities.
Menses: scanty; seventeen days late; two days early; more profuse than
usual; pain in small of back and lower abdomen; itching of vulva during flow.
Pain as if menstruating; sitting
with feet high > uterine soreness. During pregnancy: morning sickness;
salivation; nausea and vomiting; waterbrash > by breakfast.
5.
Lac-v-f.:
Increased redness, dryness and soreness of upper part of pharynx, <at night,
causing difficulty of deglutition, obliging her to bend the head forwards on
swallowing. Yellow mucus, with a sickish sweet taste; at night had to take hold
of throat to assist in swallowing. Menses profuse; cramps in and above region
of navel, bending her double; during the cramps was very cold, and, although
well clothed, could not get warm; painful, frequent, and profuse diarrhoea;
albuminous leucorrhoea, like white of egg, if she walks much, or is on her feet
much.
6. Lac-lup.: Sensation of dying, of feeling that
one does not have the strength to go on.
7. Lac-lox.: terrible dreams - murder and violence; sensation of timelessness,
a spaced out feeling, a strange sensation of mental fuzziness. Time can feel
like it is passing too
slowly
or it is distorted in some way. Like Lac Lupinum, Lac
Loxodonta Farican forgets things, or hastrouble finding things due to the
dullness on the mental level and
difficulty
in thinking.
8. Lac-ca.: fear of falling, strong fear of being
pointed at, with a finger or a sharpobject. Fear of sharp or pointed objects
that Lac Caprinum’s response to fear is to avoid it.
10. Lac-e.: weakness, shortness of breath,
palpitations, high blood pressure, and chronic hoarseness.
